How much do office glass partitions cost in 2026?
In 2026 most UK office glass partitions cost between about £240 and £760 per square metre fitted, ex VAT. Framed single glazed systems sit at the lower end, frameless glass in the middle, and double glazed acoustic walls at the top. Fire-rated glass runs higher, at around £700 to £1,250 per square metre. Doors are priced separately, typically £950 to £3,400 each.

What does a typical meeting room cost?
A six-person meeting room built in the corner of a floor, with frameless glass on two sides about 7 metres long in total and 2.7 metres high, is about 19 square metres of glass. At frameless rates that is roughly £5,700 to £8,500, plus around £1,250 for a frameless door, so about £7,000 to £9,700 ex VAT.
The same room in a framed system might come in around £5,500 to £8,200 including the door. With double glazed acoustic glass, budget roughly £10,000 to £15,500.
What makes a glass partition cost more?
Height is the first factor: walls over about 3 metres need thicker or laminated glass and more support. Acoustic targets are the second, because they change the glass and sometimes the whole system. Doors, switchable glass, curved panels and fire ratings each add significant cost.
Site conditions matter too. Uneven floors, weak ceilings that need extra support, restricted access for large glass, and out-of-hours working all add time. We note these at survey so the quote does not change later.
How can I keep the cost down?
Use existing walls where you can: a corner room only needs glass on two sides. Keep to standard heights, choose framed rather than frameless on long corridor runs, and reserve double glazing and switchable glass for the rooms that really need them. Manifestation designed in from the start costs less than film added afterwards.
