Curved glass partitions

A curved glass partition uses glass that has been heat-bent to a set radius before toughening or laminating, so a room can have rounded corners or a sweeping wall without visible facets. It is fitted in curved head and floor channels made to the same radius.

Guide price: £900 to £1,600 per m² of curved glass, fitted, ex VAT. Flat sections are priced as frameless glass.

How do curved glass partitions work?

Curved glass is made to order from an accurate template of the radius, so the survey and drawings matter more here than anywhere else. Most projects combine curved corners with flat frameless panels and a standard glass door.

Curves soften a busy open-plan floor, guide people round a reception area and turn a meeting room into a feature. Faceted glass, where flat panels meet at small angles, is a lower-cost alternative that gives a similar effect.

When are curved glass partitions the right choice?

  • Reception pods and feature meeting rooms
  • Rounded corners on busy circulation routes
  • Showrooms and brand spaces

Curved glass partitions: questions

How much more does curved glass cost?

Curved panels typically cost two to three times flat glass of the same size, because each one is bent to order. Combining a few curved corners with flat panels keeps the overall cost down.

What is the tightest curve you can do?

It depends on the glass thickness and type. Tight radii are possible in toughened glass; we confirm the achievable radius with the processor before quoting.

Can a curved panel be replaced if it breaks?

Yes, from the original radius template, which we keep on file. Replacement takes longer than a flat panel.

Can curved glass have a door in it?

Doors are usually flat and sit next to the curve, which works well visually. Curved sliding doors are possible but specialist.
