Glass partitions for co-working and flexible workspace

Operators need rooms that look good in photographs, rent well and can be changed when demand shifts. Demountable and black-framed systems give character and flexibility.

  • Black-framed and demountable systems for character and reuse
  • Small private offices and call rooms
  • Fast installation between members moving in
  • Branded manifestation and film

Questions

Are black-framed partitions steel or aluminium?

Most are aluminium with a steel-look profile, which keeps cost and weight down. Solid steel is available when a project needs it, at a higher price and longer lead time.

Do black frames make a room darker?

Slightly, because the bars block a little light, but far less than a solid wall. Keeping the transom above eye level and the panes wide keeps the room bright.

How much of a demountable partition can be re-used?

Typically the large majority of the frames, glass and doors, provided the new layout uses similar heights. New perimeter channels may be needed for a different ceiling.

Is demountable more expensive than a fixed partition?

The first fit usually costs a little more than a basic framed system, but each later move costs far less than stripping out and rebuilding.
